S&ME is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Scientist to become part of our Environmental team in Raleigh, North Carolina. Join S&ME today and help us provide engineering solutions to our clients!

What You Will Do :

As an Environmental Scientist , you'll collaborate closely with a project manager, diving into both office and field tasks related to environmental evaluations, regulatory compliance, and permitting initiatives. Plus, you'll lend a hand to our industrial hygiene team in various roles.

• Environmental Evaluations : Conduct fieldwork and compile reports for environmental evaluations, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and Brownfields assessments.
• Installations and Sampling : Manage soil borings, monitoring wells, and vapor point installations; gather and analyze samples of groundwater, vapor, and soil / sediment.
• Industrial Hygiene Inspections : Carry out fieldwork, evaluations, and reporting for industrial hygiene hazards and hazardous materials, such as asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, PCBs, mercury, and indoor air quality.
• Regulatory Compliance Monitoring : Ensure compliance by conducting stormwater sampling and underground storage tank (UST) assessments and investigations.
• Data Analysis and Reporting : Record, interpret, and compare data to regulatory standards, and prepare comprehensive environmental reports.
