Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Environmental Project Manager, we'll count on you to :
- Plan and direct medium- to large-size environmental planning and permitting projects for transportation, water / wastewater, facilities, power, and other programs as identified
- Prepare, plan and analyze / review technical studies, permit applications, NEPA documents, and similar reports / documents
- Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out)
- Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
- Coordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule
- Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule
- Work with Business / Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed
- Mentor mid-level and junior staff in field survey techniques (wetland delineations, stream assessments, etc.), permitting (primarily CWA), and in technical writing
- Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance
- Accomplish work independently and through coordinating or supervising small to large technical and professional teams from local and regional offices
- Support regional or national projects in specific areas of technical expertise
- Perform other duties as needed
