Description

Instructors are expected to take part in regularly scheduled instructional meetings, professional development, and training and submit paperwork promptly.

Teach English as a Second Language, English Literacy Civics, and / or Citizenship Preparation to adult learners with emphasis on the following skills :

listening

reading

writing

communicative grammar

workplace skills

Citizenship classes will also incorporate the following :

US holidays

US history and government

Civic Engagement

Important persons

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university; experience teaching English as a Second Language or English as a Foreign Language.

Salary Information

23.00 - $30.00 Hourly

Tentative Schedule

Classes are typically held for 8–9 weeks for 2.5 or 3 hours. Times are 9 : 00 a.m.–12 : 00 p.m. and 6 : 00 p.m.–9 p.m., and times will vary at different locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Additional schedules may become available. Experience in teaching English as a Second Language or English as a Foreign Language.
