The Nurse Manager in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and administration of the facility and the efficient delivery of patient care. This position involves overseeing the daily surgical flow, coordinating staff activities, managing medication and supply orders, conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with established protocols and standards, and administrative matters such as owning the budget, marketing to expand the surgery center, and other duties as requested by the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The Nurse Manager will also be the liaison between the Providers and the Ambulatory Surgery Center
Management Responsibilities :
- Oversees the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the clinic.
- Completes constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Ensures the GROW Program is applied and ASC staff is tested on a quarterly basis. Keeps track of staff and helps grow their careers.
- Ensures that staff is adequately cross trained for multiple roles within the ASC.
- Builds strong relationships with physicians, employees, managers, the EHVS Practice Director, and vendors, fostering collaboration and outstanding patient care.
- Responsible for ensuring staff meets KPIs.
- Coaching Staff Members
