Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Full-time, Day Shift, Environmental Service Tech II I (Floor Tech), in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Hours / Shift :

Full-time, Day Shift from 7 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m. and work every other weekend.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for maintenance of floors. Practices safe work habits through the appropriate use of chemicals, various equipment and cleaning applications to include mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping and polishing. Cross trained to Environmental Services Tech I competencies in order to provide cleaning duties when necessary.

MINUMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 1 year of housekeeping / ESD experience in lieu of High School Education
• 6 months related experience as a Floor Tech Required with 1-year Floor Maintenance experience strongly preferred
• Communication, Reading Comprehension, Service Orientation, Speaking Required
• Healthcare / Hospitality-Previous Experience preferred

As an Environmental Services Tech III / Floor Tech, you will work around patients in housekeeping. Your primary duties include cleaning the patients' rooms, hallways, and any spills. You will also have the opportunity to be cross-trained in other areas.You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients.
