We have an exceptional summer internship opportunity for a top performing rising / graduated junior, senior or graduate student interested in a career in healthcare fraud investigation.  Located in our Dallas, TX office, this internship is for 8 weeks, 40 hours per week beginning June 9. The hourly wage is $17.75 .

The intern will work with our Investigations team engaged in the detection and investigation of fraud, waste, and abuse in healthcare.  The internship may include but is not limited to :

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Works with the team to prioritize complaints for investigation, and then investigates, conducts interviews and reviews information to make potential fraud determination.

Determines investigation or case appropriateness of fraud, waste and abuse issues in accordance with pre-established criteria.

Conducts interviews of witnesses, informants, and subject area experts and targets of investigations.

Identifies and collects information to support the an investigation

Drafts investigation reports and promotes effective and efficient investigations.

Works with data to understand healthcare claims

Prepares and presents a final report.

Required Experience

• Rising / Graduated Senior or Graduate Student in one of the following fields :

Criminal Justice

Criminology

Psychology

Business Administration

Or Related Field
