Job Title : Office Assistant II (41164)

Job Locations : City of Virginia Beach, Parks & Recreation- Dam Neck Facility

Schedule :

8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm; Monday - Friday

Pay Rate : 16.08 hourly.

Job Duties :

Answer multi-line phone, and input service requests based on information provided from customers.
Routing calls
Assisting with other office related duties such as making photocopies, filing, taking meeting notes, spreadsheets entry, contacting customers from phone messages.
Entering accident reports into database.
Contacting staff in response to service requests needing immediate response
Providing customer service to staff.
Maintaining bulletin boards.
Sending emails & responding to emails.
Heavy use of Microsoft related software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams, etc.
Greeting in-person customers.

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent, plus 6 months of experience in administrative related duties utilizing the required knowledge, skills and abilities associated with such positions as customer service representative, data entry, office related experience.

Heavy lifting of boxes.

Attention to detail.

Ability to multi task.

Ability to answer multiple phone lines and route inquiries and services requests appropriately.

Posses typing, business writing and meeting note taking capabilities.
