Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the HR Generalist is to facilitate the daily functions of the Corporate Human Resource department, support leadership and complete HR operations-related projects to boost HR effectiveness at Las Vegas Sands Corp.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Facilitate new hire orientation.
Provide daily hands-on expertise to the business in HR operations functions.
In collaboration with the HR Manager, handles TMR issues within respective departments including initiating internal investigations and providing recommendations for resolution.
Consult with managers regarding corrective action, performance improvement and facilitation of resolutions.
Provide guidance to managers on documenting and communicating with their team members.
Meet regularly with leadership in respective departments to build relationships and foster good company culture.
Enter Leaves of Absence in HR Management system in coordination with Third Party Administrator and Payroll. Produce regular status reports for leadership regarding LOAs and coordinate return to work.
Performs routine operational tasks including entering changes into Workday regarding promotions, compensation adjustments and management changes.
Collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition, Benefits, and Payroll teams.
Consistently look for and suggest ways to improve processes, procedures, interactions, and develop and update departmental policies, procedures and standards.
Prepare and draft necessary reports, databases, memos, letters and departmental calendars.
Arrange timeline to complete tasks and department assignments or projects, and meet the deadlines related to those assignments.
Responsible for providing support and coordination on various projects and activities related to the performance management process, including systems testing, documentation creation, designing and providing measurement standards, and analyzing performance results.
Stays current on all legal and regulatory changes and implements appropriate change management tactics to facilitate best practices.
Perform job duties in a safe manner.
Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 21 years of age.
Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and / or equivalent work experience.
2 years of facilitation and public speaking / presentation experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, specifically).
Experience writing and maintaining documentation related to people, processes, and procedures preferred.
Experience with enterprise HR management systems preferred (i.e., Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP).
Knowledge of human resources operations processes and functions preferred.
Situational awareness with flexibility to adapt to the right mode – either behind the scenes or out in front.
Excellent organizational skills & ability to manage multiple priorities & resources.
Ability to take a project from start to finish.
Must be able to work with others, communicate well, give direction, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact appropriately with management, other Team Members and outside contacts of different backgrounds and levels of experience.

Must be able to :
Physically access assigned workspace areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, and dust.
Work remotely as necessary.
Utilize laptop and standard keyboard to perform essential functions of the job.
