REPORTS TO : Building Principal / Special Education Director

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Teaching Certification with any of the following special education endorsements : LD, CI, ASD, EI
• Preferred, Teacher Consultant Certification for Learning Disabilities
• Highly Qualified status

Special Education Teacher : will be responsible for resource room and / or co-teaching core curriculum. This teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing appropriate grade level content expectations and activities for special education students in collaboration with a general education teacher , and writing / implementing IEPs for students on his / her caseload. This teacher must also possess the ability to communicate effectively with all students, their parents / guardians, outside agencies, and district staff.
