Job Title : Press Setup Operator

Job Description

As a Press Setup Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring the accurate setup and operation of press brakes to bend sheet metal parts according to specifications. This position offers a competitive hourly wage with opportunities for overtime, making it a rewarding opportunity for those with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and review blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders to understand specifications for bending requirements.
• Select and install the correct tooling such as dies and punches for the press brake based on material type, thickness, and desired bend radius.
• Set machine parameters including bend angle, back gauge settings, and tonnage according to job specifications.
• Perform dry runs to ensure proper alignment and operation before starting the production run.
• Operate the press brake to bend sheet metal parts, ensuring all bends are within tolerance.
• Monitor machine performance throughout the run, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality.
• Inspect parts during and after production to verify the accuracy of bends and overall quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on the press brake, including cleaning, lubricating, and changing tools when necessary.

Work Environment

The work environment is a dynamic fabrication or machine shop setting where safety is paramount, requiring steel toe or closed toe shoes. The position is for the 1st shift, running from 5 : 30 AM to 2 : 00 PM, Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays required. Expect a collaborative and engaging atmosphere with lots of overtime hours available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00 / hr.
