American Medical Staffing is seeking a LPN / LVN Correctional for a travel job in Victoria, Virginia.

American Medical Staffing (AMS) puts you first, and we are currently seeking an LPN to join our corrections medical team in Victoria, Virginia. This facility a state prison for men has a maximum capacity of 1,185 inmates held at a range of security levels.

Available Shift : Nights, 3 shifts per week

As a Licensed Practical Nurse in a correctional care setting, you’ll play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, promoting their well-being and rehabilitation. This position works in partnership with a team of correctional staff and allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. Provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision on RNs or physicians.

Monitoring patients vitals and symptoms—administering medication and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols

Responding to medical emergencies and providing immediate interventions as needed

Documenting all patient interactions, treatments, and observations accurately and timely

Educating patients on self-care techniques and promoting health education within the correctional facility
