Superior EnergyLubbock, TX, United StatesDescriptionGENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOBSafely and efficiently operate front end loader with fork attachments for transporting drill pipe.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and operate a front-end loader with fork attachments.Load & unload trucks with 32 ft tubulars with up to 15,000 lbs loads.Perform daily pre-and-post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the supervisor. Clean equipment on a regular basis.Perform job tasks in accordance with industry best practices and requirements of the equipment.Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditionsTechnical and Behavioral SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to use simple math skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Forklift Operator Training required. Knowledge of all daily checkpoints and assigned equipment. Knowledge of various equipment descriptions and their identifying markings. Knowledge of color code used to identify inspection status. Knowledge of how equipment is organized to ensure proper storage and shipping. Skilled in operating equipment capable of carrying heavy and wide loads. Knowledge of tubular connections, weights and grades. Good verbal communication skills.
