Description
We are now seeking several talented Telecom Outside-Plant (OSP) Inspectors to support our strategic expansion. These positions are located across the US and support a client’s push to install 20,000+ miles of fiber across the continental US. This position is key to providing expert supervision of construction crews and cable / hand-hole locations. Your job is to ensure construction contractors are placing fiber optic cable according to the customer’s requests (buried, underground, aerial) and engineering work prints (staking sheets), as well as providing daily and weekly updates and as-builts for the project. Overtime will be required.

Responsibilities & Duties
- Working on-site with the crews daily (in varied weather conditions).
- Ensure proper placement of fiber, take sequential numbers from cable, locate hand holes using a client-furnished locator, and ensure handholes are installed correctly and in the desired locations.
- Assist in establishing schedules, coordinating, monitoring workflow, and tracking cost expenditures.
- Preparing reports and documents and maintaining project records.
- Prepare as-builts daily, showing sequential numbers, hand hole locations, marking splice points, and including GPS coordinates per hand hole.
- Provide quality control to ensure adherence to construction / engineering standards / specifications.
- Interacting with landowners, permit agencies, and other company departments.
