Job Description : Job Summary

  • The HR Coordinator position at TekWissen, based in Ann Arbor, MI, is a full-time role within the Human Resources department, reporting to the HR Generalist. As a non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this role is pivotal in supporting the HR function by ensuring smooth communication across candidates, clients, and internal teams. The coordinator will manage sensitive data within HRIS and benefits systems, maintain confidentiality, and facilitate the onboarding of new associates.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all admin support, ensuring clear and professional communication with candidates, clients, and internal team members.
  • Manage and maintain sensitive data within HRIS and benefits systems, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in all transactions and records.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new associates, coordinating with various departments to ensure a seamless experience for incoming employees.
  • Handle State and Federal unemployment inquiries with precision, communicating effectively with relevant parties to resolve any issues.
  • Process payroll-related requests, including garnishments, in collaboration with the Payroll Provider, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Coordinate office communications, including receiving and distributing mail, to ensure efficient operations.
  • Primary HR Duties - assist the HR department by - answering incoming calls, assisting with onboarding, responding to state and federal requests for unemployment issues.
  • Office Duties - order supplies, restock breakroom, prep equipment and mail equipment to new hires.
  • Required Skills :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication for a professional setting.
  • Exposure to corporate is beneficial
  • Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with MS Office products
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
  • Able to operate in a stressful environment
  • Able to maintain confidential information
  • Able to operate general office equipment.
  • Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-3 years of experience in business / corporate environment
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to work onsite at the Ann Arbor, MI Corporate office.
