Job Title : Human Resources Generalist
Location : Mission Valley, San Diego
Contract : Minimum 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension
A nonprofit organization in Mission Valley is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their team on a 6-month contract with the potential for extension. This role is ideal for an HR professional with experience handling leaves of absence (LOA) and a strong background in general HR functions.

Key Responsibilities :
Manage and administer leave of absence requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding LOA policies, procedures, and documentation
Support HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance
Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee record management
Process HR paperwork, maintain accurate employee records, and ensure confidentiality
Provide guidance to employees on company policies and best practices
Collaborate with the HR team to support various projects as needed
Qualifications :
2+ years of HR experience
Strong knowledge of leave of absence laws and regulations (FMLA, CFRA, ADA)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Working Hours : Full-time
Onsite
Monday – Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 8am-1pm PST

Contract / Contract to hire role
Compensation : $30.00-$35.00 per hour DOE
