Job Summary
Responsible for managing a comprehensive information systems security program with the goal of protecting information accessed, processed, stored and transmitted in and out of the TriWest information systems environment. Collaborates on the development of information security policy and practices, specific to guidance from DoD, VA, NIST and HIPAA Security. Manage the organization's security documentation specific to TriWest contractual security requirements in collaboration with other members of the IT department. Position has overall responsibility for IT Security performance metrics, compliance reporting, and government directed security audits. Also provides broad-based information security support in the overall delivery of IT solutions and services as needed.
Education & Experience
Required :
- Bachelor's degree in the field of Information Technology or Information Security, or equivalent work experience
- U.S. Citizenship
- Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation
- 3+ years of management experience with significant decision-making and budget responsibility in previous position
- Proven leadership experience and establishing trust and healthy relationships.
- 5-10 years in an information security position
- Knowledge of industry best practices in Information Security management and risk analysis
- Knowledgeable in a broad range of Information Technologies (IT) (Systems, Network, Desktop)
- Experience managing projects with the ability to leverage individual talents for project success
- Effective communication and facilitation skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong customer service orientation
