About the Role :
Intangles North America is seeking a motivated Technical Installation Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telematics devices in various vehicles, while providing high-quality pre- and post-sale technical support to customers.
This position involves hands-on hardware installation, customer interaction and technical support, ensuring seamless product deployment and assisting with account management.
You will report to the Operations manager and collaborate across departments to improve processes and customer satisfaction.
Extensive travel (up to 80%) is required within Canada, the USA, and South America.
A strong understanding of automotive mechanics is essential.
Core Responsibilities :
Perform complex installations of telematics devices, including gateways, AI cameras, and related equipment in a wide variety of vehicles. Customize installation processes based on customer requirements and vehicle models.
Collaborate with the sales and customer success teams to provide technical support in pre & post sales activities, ensuring accurate product representation. Assist with communicating product setup requirements and addressing customer queries.
Provide on-site and remote technical assistance for installation and troubleshooting issues. Manage escalated technical issues, ensuring quick resolution.
Conduct installation quality checks and verify high quality installations. Ensuring data transmission to platform. Develop and maintain installation best practices and ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards.
Create and update installation and troubleshooting documentation. Fleet Data Management : Input fleet data into the platform
Qualifications :
5+ years of experience in installing hardware and troubleshooting automotive systems in a wide variety of vehicles.
Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems (12V / 24V), CAN bus networks, and electrical diagnostics tools.
Experience in technical customer service, sales, or vehicle maintenance.
Bilingual proficiency in English and French or Spanish.
Proficient in technical writing and documentation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time within Canada, USA, and South America.
Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
