GENERAL SUMMARY

In a context that purposefully embraces faculty empowerment and an organizational heritage for student learning and programmatic excellent and in cooperation with the Director of Nursing Education Programs and nursing faculty, The Associate Nursing Instructional Personnel is responsible for assisting with laboratory and clinical simulation activities.

Associate Nursing Instructional Personnel are Licensed nurses working under the direction and supervision of nursing faculty, who assist students in laboratory and / or clinical simulation environments to meet specific nursing goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Assist the lead faculty in assigned laboratory or simulation.
• Assist with preparing and setting up lab prior to the start of class.
• Work in close collaboration with the lead faculty to ensure students receive all materials and schedules prior to the start of lab / simulation.
• Effectively communicate with students and provide clear instructions of lab / simulation expectations.
• Ensure preparedness by familiarizing self with student objectives and identify methods to support student achievement of these objectives within the lab / simulation setting.
• Promote a professional image and standard by abiding with all relevant Program, College and System policies.
• Attend course meetings as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :   Any equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
