COMPENSATION SCHEDULE :
Hourly
PAY GRADE : Hourly
SUPERVISOR :
Principal or designee.
SUMMARY :
Develop the academic and personal strength of AVID students using AVID strategies (WICR : writing, inquiry, collaboration, and reading).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Provide academic support for students in rigorous courses.
2. Facilitate the tutorial learning process and implement AVID methodologies.
3. Actively participate in collaborative groups and tutorials.
4. Participate in motivational activities when possible.
5. Become a master of each stage of the AVID tutorial and inquiry learning process.
6. Act as a role model and mentor.
7. Adhere to district / site policies and procedures.
8. Arrive on time and prepared for class.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
1. High school graduate.
2. Good communication skills.
3. Positive and professional demeanor.
4. Is able to do assessment and grading.
5. Is able to do comparing and computing.
6. Has flexible availability.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS :
All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired.
1. Previous AVID student is preferred.
2. Strong Math and Science skills.
