Job details We're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused IT Desktop Support Specialist for a client in College Station, TX. In this role, you'll be the go-to person for technical assistance, ensuring employees have the tools and support they need to do their jobs effectively. This includes setting up new workstations, troubleshooting day-to-day tech issues, and maintaining hardware and software across the organization. Responsibilities :
Set up and configure new employee workstations, including desktops, laptops, monitors, and peripherals
Install and update operating systems, software applications, and security tools
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to printers, mobile devices, and audio / video equipment
Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory
Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
Assist remote users with tech support via phone, chat, or remote access tools
Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when necessary
Working hours : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Skills :
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional
Experience with remote support tools and IT ticketing systems
Education : High School
Experience : 1-4 years
Qualifications :
1?3 years of experience in desktop or help desk support
Strong understanding of Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite
Hands-on experience setting up and maintaining workstations
Familiarity with Active Directory, user account setup, and password resets
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications a plus)
