Salary: $87,369 - 117,949 per year

Requirements:

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead position.
• A bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong command of one or more modern programming languages, such as C#/.NET, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases and large, complex datasets.
• Practical experience designing and integrating REST APIs, web services, and data pipelines.
• Experience developing solutions on at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• DevOps experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, sound version-control practices, and exposure to infrastructure as code or containers.
• A documentation-first approach and the ability to create systems that others can understand and maintain.
• Ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly to engineers, business partners, and executives.
• Preferred: experience in healthcare, health insurance, or another regulated industry, including familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2, or HITRUST.
• Preferred: experience with Databricks, Creatio, or other low-code or CRM platforms.
• Preferred: experience modernizing legacy systems, especially mainframe, IBM i, or RPG environments.
• Preferred: familiarity with data engineering concepts such as data lakehouses, medallion architecture, or change data capture.
• Preferred: a graduate degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications, services, and APIs supporting member, provider, and claims operations.
• Create reliable data integrations across Creatio, Databricks, and legacy systems, making healthcare data useful and dependable for teams.
• Convert legacy business logic into clean, well-documented, maintainable code as we transition from our IBM i platform.
• Promote sound architecture, code reviews, and automated testing to sustain code quality.
• Build secure software that protects member information and meets HIPAA and CMS requirements.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and observability to improve the speed and safety of delivery.
• Mentor developers across our team of approximately 30 technologists and help establish engineering standards.
• Deliver key components of our legacy-to-modern migration during the first year.
• Build and stabilize integrations supporting provider, member, and claims data.
• Improve code quality, testing, and documentation across the team.
• Partner with platform and infrastructure colleagues to mature our CI/CD and release practices.
