Responsibilities
Perform repairs and maintenance as specified on repair orders, with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
Diagnose vehicle problems and accurately perform maintenance and repairs on all vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, steering, electrical, suspension, brakes, and A / C
Use diagnostic tools and special service equipment effectively
Communicate with Service Advisors about vehicle issues and repair timelines
Complete warranty work to manufacturer specifications
Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure customers’ vehicles are clean and treated with care
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as an automotive technician
Recent dealership experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, repair, and maintenance
Proficient with electronic diagnostic tools
Valid driver’s license required
Strong communication and customer service skills
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and procedures
Comfortable using computers and basic math / reading skills
