The Department of History at High Point University is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track Instructor of Latin American History (any time period). Responsibilities include teaching a 4 : 4 load of general education courses in Latin American History, first-year interdisciplinary courses, and upper-level seminars for the undergraduate major in Latin American History. Employment will begin in January 2026.
A record of exceptional teaching, and a PhD by January 2026 is required. In addition to teaching, duties will include service to the university, to the Douglas S. Witcher School of Humanities and Behavioral Science, and the History Department; participation in institutional activities; active engagement in student learning outside of the classroom; and upholding the university's values and advancing its mission.
