Position Summary :
The Hispanic Leadership Conference Coordinator will play a key role in managing the logistics of Concordia's Annual Hispanic Leadership Conference. This position will be responsible for working with the HSI Project Director to oversee conference logistics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include :
Duties & Responsibilities Conference logistics including but not limited to : budget oversight, room reservations, catering orders, event run of show / outline, coordinating all event detail and logistics, managing set-up and tear down process, vendor coordination, coordinating breakout sessions / speakers / info fair logistics, event signage, follow up on sponsorship solicitations, work with 'committees' and oversee committees' activities, printed materials like signage and program content, speaker communications with their personalized memos, registration management, email blasts to past attendees, biweekly registration reports shared with committee, managing conference email inbox, bus driver memos, follow up thank you email to students and speakers and speaker survey.
Qualification Requirements :
- Strong public speaking skills; written communication and editing skills to develop reports, memos, handouts, brochures and other promotional materials.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and to handle pressure in a fast paced and changing environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher) Gmail & calendar.
- Able to maintain the confidentiality of all University, Departmental and student processes and records
