Description :
The Director of Campus Life at Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) is a member of the Department of Student Life, overseeing the strategies and tactics that support nearly all aspects of the undergraduate student experience including residential life, campus events and activities, student leadership development, career development, outdoor recreation, counseling services, and campus safety. This role primarily works with student leaders of the Student Government Association (SGA), which covers a diverse range of student events, activities, and initiatives.
The Director position is an 11-month, salary exempt role, reporting to the Vice President of Student Life. The role involves considerable time spent on campus during evenings and multiple weekends per semester.
The Director works collaboratively with the entirety of the Student Life team to assist in student development initiatives and department-wide goals related to student life, co-curricular education, student leadership initiatives, and other strategic goals. The Director’s primary duties consist of overseeing, advising, and collaborating with NNU’s SGA student leaders, who in turn oversee numerous areas, including : campus events and activities, student clubs and organizations, intramural sports, the Oasis yearbook, student-athlete relations, community engagement, campus ministries and ministry clubs, student governance (Senate and student fee budgeting), class councils, and more.

Essential Functions :
- Develop and lead SGA Retreat, co-chair LEAD Retreat, and serve on the leadership team for LAUNCH at the beginning of Fall Semester
- Oversee all aspects of the Student Government Association, including attending all campus-wide events, weekly SGA meetings, weekly Senate meetings, and weekly Timeout services
- Assist in planning and directing leadership training for all student leaders in conjunction with Resident Directors and Student Life leadership
- Oversee outdoors club programming and club sports programming, including supervising the work of the Director of Journeys
- Serve on university committees as a student life representative as assigned
- Serve in a support role for the work of other Student Life personnel as needed (career development, residential life, wellness center, campus safety, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned

Salary determined by the educational background and experience of each applicant.
