The main function of a logistics specialist is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. A typical logistics specialist is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules, and compiling reports on inventory levels / cost, etc.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Collect data and documents to support department projects / activities.
Examine documents, materials, and data to assess conformation to standards.
Coordinate and execute special projects and ancillary services.
Work in a continuous improvement spirit across a highly matrix working environment.
Complete all other duties as assigned.

The ability to read, interpret, and understand product shipment information from various order and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and thorough preparation of transportation documents.
Exercises judgment within defined practices and policies in the selection of methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelors or equivalent degree of experience.
2 years related experience required.
