Responsibilities:
- Inspire and Educate: Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students can flourish, fostering their passion for welding while imparting your expert knowledge.
- Hands-On Training: Lead by example and provide practical demonstrations, ensuring students gain real-world experience.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with our education team to enhance existing courses and develop new ones that align with industry trends and advancements.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor students on their individual projects, encouraging them to think critically and find innovative solutions.
- Safety First: Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices to ensure a secure working environment for students.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Experience: 3 years of practical work experience in the field
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively connect with students and fellow staff
- Patience and Empathy: A patient and empathetic approach to teaching, understanding that every student learns at their own pace

Compass Rose Foundation (CRF) is an 80-year-old Florida chartered non-profit organization that fulfills its mission by governing post secondary institutions. Steeped in the management of career-oriented institutions, its current charge is the development of trade and technical schools. Under this endeavor, CRF has one institution within its auspice of control. Jones Technical Institute (J-Tech), located in Jacksonville offers programs in Automotive, Diesel, Marine & RV Technology as well as HVAC-R and Commercial Truck Driving, Welding and soon to be Network Administration and Security.
J-Tech, founded in 2013, is located on the south side of Jacksonville. Our campus is comprised of 28 acres and 168,000 square feet. Since its founding, our Automotive and Diesel programs have produced over 1500 graduates while its Commercial Truck Driving program has assisted almost thousands of graduates obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
