About the Role
Our client is seeking an Electric Utility Resource Planner with significant experience in production cost modeling and resource planning for electric utilities. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee economic analysis and forecasting related to production costs, fuel needs, and resource planning for electric systems.
- Leverage PLEXOS or similar software to perform production cost modeling, evaluating and addressing any concerns to ensure model accuracy.
- Make strategic decisions regarding modeling assumptions and align these with overall resource planning and regulatory goals.
- Communicate findings effectively, both in written and oral presentations, to stakeholders across all levels, including regulatory bodies.
- Support regulatory filings by preparing testimony, responding to data requests, and serving as an expert witness when required.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support resource investment, acquisition, and strategic transaction opportunities.
- Mentor junior staff, providing guidance and expertise across various aspects of resource planning.
