Job Description
Coordinates the Music Department operations, master calendar and events.
Duties and Responsibilities
Music Office :
- Liaison between students, professors and chair.
- Manages student office workers to ensure day-to-today operations run smoothly.
- Liaison between the Department of Music and other campus departments, including Physical Plant and IT.
- Liaison between the Department of Music and the La Sierra University Church.
- Coordinate music needs for other campus department activities and events.
- Manage use of HMA by our students / faculty and other campus departments.
- Manage and collaborate with department tech and marketing managers.
- Manage Department of Music master calendar.
- Problem solving / management from students / professors.
- Assist in planning / coordinating department festivals and events.
- Attends department faculty meetings / CAS meetings.
- Gather campus information to keep department up to date with policies.
- Provide good customer service to students and guests.
- Give visiting students a tour of the Department of Music.
- Kronos timekeeper for department.
- Handle all invoices and expense reports and order department supplies.
- Other duties as requested.

Education / Experience :
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability :
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability :
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills :
Expertise in Microsoft Office.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Manages student office workers.

Wage Range : $18.52 to $20.75 per hour, plus generous partial benefits
