About this opportunity :

Cenovus is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer at our Toledo refinery. This individual is a key role standing at the interface between the refinery Optimization & Performance team in the Commercial department and Finance. The role is responsible for driving continuous gross margin improvement with focus on measuring the refinery’s performance and facilitating effective performance conversations between partners. This role helps drive commercial success for the refinery.

What you’ll do :

• Provide in-depth analysis of refinery gross margin to understand underlying site performance versus capability.
• Generate monthly Loss Profit Opportunity (LPO) values for Toledo.
• Owns Toledo Performance Loss Accounting (LPA) process.
• Monthly Refining Economic Report – As part of the monthly Performance Management Reporting (PMR) process, support finance and commercial teams by compiling and generating the monthly gross margin report with focus on the following metrics and KPIs : GM component contribution build upRefinery consumption and production summaryClean fuels and total volume yield KPIsUnderlying crude and feedstock valuesMonthly LPO valuations
• Monthly Inventory Forecast Reporting - Maintain and provide report out to corporate teams on a monthly basis
• Solomon Study – Function as site coordinator for Solomon study.
