JOB SUMMARY
To enhance the guests experience at The Sanctuary Spa in order to achieve our mission of caring enough to do it well. To consistently provide exceptional, personalized service to our member and guests.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities
Promote a warm, relaxed feeling for members and guests. Be prepared to assist guests by anticipating their needs.
Must use member and guest name recognition.
Arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of shift to prepare.
Personalize each treatment to accommodate the individual needs of our guests.
Interact appropriately with guest and members whether it is a conversation or a quiet presence.
Continuously keeps up with the newest trends to deliver cutting edge services to guest
Maintain excellent communication between activity in the salon and receptionists. Provide accurate information to the receptionists regarding type and length of treatment provided to guests. Constantly review bookings for the day checking for booking errors, double bookings, special requests, etc.
Maintain cleanliness, organization and restocking of the salon. This includes your station, make-up station, the storage area and other areas in guest view. Assist in helping with cleanliness throughout The Sanctuary Spa.
Provide assistance when necessary throughout The Sanctuary Spa.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Safety and Security
Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager / supervisor.
Policies and Procedures
Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
Follow company and department policies and procedures.
Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Guest Relations
Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell.
Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.
Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching / listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
Communication
Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.
Discuss work topics, activities, or problems with coworkers, supervisors, or managers discreetly and quietly, avoiding public areas of the property.
Provide assistance to coworkers, ensuring they understand their tasks.
Working with Others
Handle sensitive issues with employees and / or guests with tact, respect, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Current Arizona Cosmetology License
2 years of experience as a hair stylist (preferably in luxury resort setting)
