Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER in the Business Operations and Strategic Planning Office of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption
Duties
Help
- You will be accountable for ensuring timely and cost effective completion of functions related to Business Operations Division.
- You will be responsible for successful execution of all matters associated with Strategic Availability Planning.
- You will control and coordinate planning for ship work and special projects, such as Engineered Refueling Overhauls.
- You will act as the senior funds administrator for all work assigned to the branch, administering funds for assigned work on cost reimbursable and mission funded work.
- You will authorize production disbursements; maintains financial records and reports status when required.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : leading production control functions related to business operations developing, planning for ship work and projects, investigating and recommending practical solutions to work that affects a shipyard environment.

Military Spouse Preference applicants will receive priority consideration at the Full Performance Level (FPL) and if determined to be Best Qualified at the FPL, and selected, must be placed at the FPL. A BQ military spouse possesses knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies comparable to others who meet the competitive referral criteria for the specific position.
PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
Eligible DoD career or career conditional employees shall be granted statutory return rights to their former position for a period of 5 years if continuously employed in a foreign or non-foreign area provided by Executive Order 10895 and DoDI 1400.25, v 1230. Employees that do not exercise their return rights within five years are no longer eligible for return rights and will be treated as a local hire.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and / or unusual duty hours may be required.
Pay retention may be granted when certain conditions are met.
