About the Role
The Project Estimator is responsible for evaluating project plans, reports, and site conditions to develop accurate and competitive bids. This role involves cost analysis, subcontractor coordination, and contract negotiations while maintaining strong industry relationships.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and soils reports to develop cost estimates.
- Conduct take-offs using software such as Agtek, Civil Image, Carlson, or similar.
- Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather bid information.
- Maintain and update estimating records, bid logs, and documentation.
- Train and mentor junior estimators.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor and subcontractor negotiations.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and efficiency gains.
