Job Description
Location : Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and in-office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. This includes remote work and 1-2 days in office per week.
The Public Relations Director is responsible for leading the communications and public relations strategies to support designated business units and position the Company as a lifetime, trusted health partner.
How You Will Make an Impact :
- Health Plan Communications Strategy : Develops and leads a comprehensive, strategic communications program aligned with the organization’s mission and business objectives.
- Media Campaigns : Lead the development and execution of media campaigns that generate high-impact coverage. Create press releases, media pitches, and other communication materials to attract media attention and interest.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Collaborates with government relations, marketing, corporate communications, and senior management to ensure an integrated and consistent message to key external audiences. Implements strategies and tactics designed to educate and build relationships with the public and key opinion leaders.
- Media Relations : Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and industry thought leaders.
- Thought Leadership Programs : Partner with team to connect state and market-based brand narrative and priorities to position key leaders and subject matter experts as industry experts.
- Media Monitoring and Analysis : Monitors media coverage, industry trends, and public sentiment to identify emerging issues and opportunities.
