Your Impactful Role Directs and coordinates back end revenue cycle activities, including denial management and resolution, cash application and reconciliation, customer service, claim reject analysis, and post-collections processes. Responsible for maintaining HIPAA compliance within the department. Plan and organize quarterly department meetings resulting in effective two way communication and follow up. Ensure that denials and AR follow up occurs accurately and timely resulting in increased likelihood of payments. Ensure customers service calls are efficiently resolved, tracked, escalated, and reported on monthly to leadership team Ensures cash is posted timely and accurately and that bank to posting reconciliation occurs daily. Provides monthly updates to leadership on inbound and posted cash. Provide training / orientation of assigned personnel. Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases, promotions and disciplinary action in a timely and effective manner. Develops new procedures to improve the quality and quantity of work processed Resolves difficult insurance claim problems as needed in a timely manner. Provides direct and indirect supervision and participates in staff performance evaluation as outlined in organizational chart resulting in documented timely employee feedback and performance reviews. Development of employee work related goals resulting in a motivated and challenged staff through coaching and mentoring. Responsible for the timely and accurate dissemination of Company information to their respective employees and management. Responsible for effective recruitment and hiring for the appropriate department when the need arises resulting in appropriately staffed departments. Participate as a senior team member in a cohesive and constructive way resulting in senior team alignment, decision making and problem solving. Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises the front end billing department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred (Business or Healthcare Management). 5 plus years of extensive experience in medical billing office. 5 plus years of supervisory / managerial experience. Must have the ability to multitask. The employee frequently is required to move all extremities within full range of motion as well as stoop and bend at 90 degrees. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 30 pounds. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for long periods of time and to work in an environment which can be very stressful. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. This is a full time position. This position may require long hours. May be required to travel to one or more satellite locations.
