About the Role

We are seeking an Developer Enablement Engineer to own technical documentation and developer enablement for Quantinuum’s Platform, including Nexus Cloud and hardware. This US-based role combines technical writing, software engineering, physics or mathematics expertise, and hands-on customer support to help users successfully adopt and use Quantinuum’s quantum computing platforms.

You will own Systems and Nexus documentation, release guidance, tested code examples, setup instructions, and troubleshooting content. You will work closely with hardware, software, product, documentation, and customer-facing teams to translate complex capabilities and recurring user issues into accurate, actionable self-service resources.

This role also provides technical support for customer cases as needed to own tickets that require advanced quantum computing and Systems expertise to investigate code, diagnose the issue, and drive resolution of customer-facing problems. This creates a direct feedback loop between developers, customers, product teams, support operations, and documentation.

All applicants for placement in safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own, develop, and maintain accurate Systems and Nexus documentation, including conceptual guidance, setup instructions, workflows, API or SDK usage, and troubleshooting content
  • Create and validate runnable code examples against current product and platform releases
  • Develop release guidance, technical launch plans, and release-readiness checklists in partnership with product and engineering teams
  • Maintain documentation for installation, access, configuration, system behavior, and common failure modes
  • Design and improve information architecture, content organization, and migration workflows so developers can find and use the right information quickly
  • Use user feedback, support trends, search behavior, and content analytics to identify gaps and continuously improve self-service
  • Work directly with hardware, software, product, documentation, and support subject-matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and timely updates
  • Serve as the ticket owner for escalated customer cases that require deep quantum computing and Systems expertise; investigate and reproduce code-level issues, coordinate with support, product, and engineering teams, drive customer-facing resolution, and convert recurring issues into reusable documentation, examples, or tutorials
  • Support product launches, technical workshops, conferences, and customer events with demos, technical content, and developer guidance
  • Contribute to documentation standards, review practices, and measurable quality and adoption goals across the documentation portfolio
  • Perform a monthly competitive intelligence review and synthesize relevant technical and market insights for internal stakeholders
  • Represent developer needs and recurring friction to internal teams, helping shape product, platform, and documentation priorities

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience in technical documentation, developer enablement, software engineering, solutions engineering, developer relations, or a related technical role
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.

WE VALUE:

  • Advanced degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Direct experience with quantum computing platforms, compilers, emulators, or hardware access workflows
  • Familiarity with Quantinuum Systems, Nexus, or related developer tooling
  • Experience with continuous integration, automated example testing, or documentation quality tooling
  • Contributions to open-source technical projects or developer communities
  • Experience producing competitive intelligence or synthesizing technical developments for internal audiences
  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining technical documentation for complex software, hardware, cloud, or developer platforms
  • Strong software engineering skills, including hands-on proficiency with Python and the ability to build, test, and troubleshoot code examples
  • Ability to understand complex technical systems and explain them clearly to developer and research audiences
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and product subject-matter experts through releases and documentation reviews
  • Experience with developer relations, developer education, solutions engineering, or another customer-facing technical discipline
  • Knowledge of quantum computing concepts, quantum software workflows, or quantum hardware systems
  • Experience documenting APIs, SDKs, command-line tools, cloud services, or integrated hardware-software systems
  • Experience with documentation-as-code practices, version control, issue tracking, and technical review workflows
  • Ability to test releases, reproduce issues, diagnose technical problems, and turn findings into clear guidance
  • Experience creating tutorials, sample applications, migration guides, release notes, and troubleshooting resources
  • Experience using documentation analytics, search data, user feedback, or support trends to prioritize improvements
  • Strong cross-functional communication and project management skills, with the ability to drive content to completion across distributed teams
  • Comfort supporting technical events, workshops, launches, and customer conversations
  • A proactive, developer-focused mindset with a commitment to technical accuracy and measurable user outcomes

The base pay range for this role is $144,000 – $194,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
