Job descriptionHighly self-motivated individual with a driven mentality Quality and Safety Orientated Strategic thinker Organized Implements Safety Policy & Procedure in compliance with all Federal, State and OSHA rules & regulations. Will enforce & uphold all safe work practices and policies, performing safety meeting and modeling behaviors. Inspects Plant facilities for existing or potential accident and health Hazards and determines corrective or preventative measures where needed. Responsible for implementing safety plans. Performs New Hire Safety Orientations and other safety training and maintains appropriate records Assists with risk assessments and site inspections. Coordinates yearly OSHA audits with state and corporate partners Works with management and maintenance to ensure equipment is installed correctly / safely as well as assists with ensuring maintenance of equipment is up to date and scheduled accordingly Formulates and suggests work safety standards Ensure compliance with an internal quality control and process improvement system. Effectively communicative internally and externally on any customer quality issues that may arise Investigate problems and assist in the development of error proofing. Define, analyze, and implement process changes, which are permanent. Contribute to problem solving and correction action plans Ensure leadership is focusing and improving quality in the correct department Inspects product as needed to ensure quality standards are met 2+ years' experience in quality / safety Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal. Proficient computer skills & use of Microsoft Office. Must be able to multi-task, organized, efficient, and accurate. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds Must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
