Who You Are
You are a dedicated Fire Safety Specialist with extensive knowledge of fire codes, standards, and best practices. You will maintain and enhance the effectiveness of fire safety measures for our customers by conducting inspections, performing maintenance, and implementing proactive measures to ensure regulatory compliance and system reliability. You bring a detail-oriented, safety-focused mindset, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and collaborate with teams to assess risks and implement effective solutions.
What Youll Do
- Install, repair, and inspect smoke and fire suppression systems.
- Inspect, test and repair fire alarm wiring, fire alarm panels and peripheral equipment.
- Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Inspect, repair or replace smoke / heat detectors and sprinkler heads.
- Repair and test wet / dry systems; test fire alarm system devices using appropriate diagnostic programs and equipment.
- Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
- Read, interpret, and apply system design plans and building construction drawings and documents.
- Perform true test smoke detector sensitivity procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine maintenance requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This is a contingent position based upon contract award and will be located OCONUS.
