Requirements:

• Experience working with GPS/GNSS receivers, including Trimble and u-blox systems, as well as RTK and differential correction techniques
• Practical background with UWB hardware such as DecaWave, Qorvo, or Pozyx, plus BLE beacon protocols
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; familiarity with ROS or ROS2 is an advantage
• Solid understanding of trigonometry, linear algebra, and coordinate transformation methods
• Experience integrating LiDAR and 3D scanning technologies
• Knowledge of RF concepts that influence positioning precision, including propagation, multipath, and interference
• Embedded systems experience with platforms such as STM32, ESP32, or nRF
• Strong troubleshooting and field-testing capability, with comfort working both indoors and outdoors using prototype hardware

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and tune GPS/GNSS receivers, UWB anchors and tags, and BLE beacon networks for robot localization
• Develop sensor fusion approaches, including Kalman and particle filters, to combine GNSS, UWB, BLE, IMU, and odometry data for high-precision positioning
• Write firmware and application software in C/C++ and Python to connect positioning modules with robot control systems and ROS/ROS2
• Set up and diagnose UWB ranging systems and BLE beacon infrastructure for indoor positioning
• Incorporate LiDAR and 3D scan data into SLAM and mapping workflows
• Test positioning performance in the field and resolve issues related to latency, drift, and multipath effects
• Document calibration steps, firmware releases, and benchmark results
• Work closely with robotics, controls, and software teams to support production integration

We are Techforce Robotics, and we are seeking a Robotics Positioning Programmer to help develop GPS, UWB, and BLE-based localization systems for our autonomous robotics platforms. In this hands-on, full-time role, you will support our robots in navigating and localizing accurately both outdoors and in GPS-denied indoor environments. We offer a flexible schedule, paid time off, and an in-person work setting in Murrieta, CA 92562. The pay range for this position is $20.00 to $30.00 per hour.
