Your Job
In this role, you will provide strategic and scientific leadership for all toxicology-related activities. You will collaborate witha team of toxicologists overseeing safety evaluations, guiding regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with global standards, and reviewing, interpreting, and anticipating legislative and regulatory changes impacting our critical chemistries. Your expertise will influence Koch Company product development decisions, regulatory strategies, and industry best practices, directly contributing to the protection of public health and the environment.

Our work supports the safe development of chemicals and consumer products, ensuring they meet the highest safety and compliance standards.
What You Will Do
- Lead the evaluation of draft legislative and regulatory changes and regulatory documents, such as EPA risk evaluations, FDA assessments and frameworks, etc.
- Review regulatory evaluations and primary literature, evaluate how evidence is integrated and interpreted, understand how evidence is used in decision making, and coordinate with company representatives to evaluate and communicate potential impact
- Collaborate with a team of toxicologists that interpret toxicology studies (including in vitro, in vivo, and computational approaches); advise companies on hazard, risk, communication, and labeling; and advise on safety topics related to claims and customer complaints
- When appropriate, advise on laboratory testing of products and raw materials, ensure adherence to OECD and other relevant guidelines, and advise on study design, limitations, and interpretation of results
- Serve as the trustedtoxicology authority for regulatory submissions and communications with agencies such as the FDA, EPA, and ECHA
- Collaborate with R&D, the business, and our regulatory team to integrate safety assessments early in the innovation process
- Represent the organization with third-party research organizations, outside counsel, industry working groups and trade associations to develop points of view, advocacy strategy, and communication materials
- Monitor emerging toxicology trends, alternative testing methods, and evolving regulatory requirements
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related life sciences discipline
- Mid- career professional that has demonstratedexpertise in integrating and interpreting toxicology studies for regulatory purposes
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment and regulatory guidelines for EPA, FDA, and other applicable agencies
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to combine strategic oversight with hands-on scientific involvement and to provide meaningful technical input to Koch businesses, legal teams, and R&D teams
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on creativity, motivation, and ability to leverage a team of toxicologists to support multiple product lines and capabilities in various regulatory markets
- Strong capacity to build relationships with key stakeholders internal and external to Koch
- Ability to incorporate technology into our processes with a view to creating efficiencies and value for Koch Companies
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in chemical or consumer products industries
- DABT or ERT certification
- 5+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity
- Experience working on cross-functional teams and/or trade associations on key regulatory initiatives, including providing public comment on rulemakings and participating in advocacy efforts
