Job descriptionManage and complete all the administrative tasks performed in support of the Snowflake Data Cloud and Azure cloud environment. Snowflake experience is a MUST HAVE. Maintain deep understanding of complementary technologies and help leverage Snowflake as part of their larger technology stack. Experience in migrating data from On Prem to Cloud. Deploy, administer, and monitor all Azure services covering storage, identity, governance, virtual networks, and computing. Azure Experience in configuring networks, monitoring resources, managing storage and cloud security. Manage and monitor authorization, authentication, and other security elements in Snowflake. Design and develop secure access to objects in Snowflake with Role-based Access Control (RBAC). Implement integration with azure cloud environments, and other external sources. Ensure data security and compliance with best practices, including column-level data security using secure views and dynamic data masking features. Monitor system performance, resource utilization and troubleshoot issues. Proactively identify, design, and implement process improvements like automating manual processes, optimizing data flow, increase scalability etc. Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to optimize platform performance and load operations. Implement high performing and highly available data warehouse solutions. Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies. Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures. Provide On-call support by participating in rotation schedule.
Job Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or information technology.
- 5+ years of experience as a database administrator.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on administration experience, from setting up the Snowflake environments to successfully administering it (Azure preferred).
- Experience with administering Azure cloud environments with knowledge of Blob storage, integration with on-prem, gateways, container services, subscriptions, managing user and their access etc.
- Extensive experience with implementation and maintenance of Disaster Recovery and High availability.
- Ability to work on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions that are highly innovative and ingenious.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks
The salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $160,000 + bonus + benefits
Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location.
