The Domain Architect is an experienced individual contributor with deep expertise in key technological domains and business domains. They collaborate closely with executives to own the technology roadmap and align it with business strategies. Key responsibilities include owning the technology roadmap for a portfolio of products, leading solution design of complex projects, mentoring less experienced colleagues, and implementing process-driven approaches to achieve organizational goals.
- Own the development and alignment of technology strategy and roadmap within a defined domain. Work closely with technology and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and sponsorship.
- Stay actively engaged in industry and technology trends. Maintain active research on current state and emerging technologies. Own internal technology radar report which includes classification of solutions into the following recommendations : Hold, Assess, Trial, and Adopt. Develop prototypes and starter projects / templates to accelerate delivery by Product Engineering Teams.
- Analyze and translate business and functional requirements into solution architecture design that align with Enterprise Architecture Principles.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering Teams and other Business Units to deliver secure, quality, scalable and resilient solutions within schedule, budget, and scope.
- Actively participate in industry events (e.g., financial and technology conferences), publish white papers, host webinars and much more to help advance the technology brand of the company.
- Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
- Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
- Coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
- Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $111,625.50 to $159,465.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
