Job Overview :
The Solar Project Development Manager is responsible for leading the development of solar and renewables projects from origination through construction. This role requires expertise in project management, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and financial feasibility analysis to ensure successful project execution. They will work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to drive initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify and evaluate potential project sites, conduct feasibility assessments and due diligence.
- Manage the permitting and regulatory approval process, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, government agencies, utilities, and other stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations for installation agreements, land leases, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and interconnection agreements.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure project viability and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and milestones, ensuring on-time and within-budget execution.
- Work with finance teams to support project financial modeling, funding applications, and investment strategies.
- Monitor market trends, policy changes, and emerging technologies in the solar industry.
- Ensure environmental, social, and safety compliance for all solar development projects.
- Collaborate with the Crete United Team to align project development with company goals and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure projects adhere to Crete United's mission of advancing energy efficiency solutions while maintaining strong corporate social responsibility.
- Work closely with Crete United's technical teams to integrate innovative technologies and optimize solar system performance.
- Participate in community outreach efforts to promote Crete United's renewable energy initiatives and foster public support.
