Sourcing Specialist

Location : Houston, TX or Monroe, LA

As a Sourcing Specialist , you will support the transformation of procurement in North America by defining and executing strategic sourcing projects that add measurable value to the business.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll develop and implement commercial sourcing strategies to maximize value while ensuring the right level of governance and risk management for your areas of responsibility.

Working collaboratively with internal colleagues including the global procurement team, to ensure procure-to-pay processes and policies are operating effectively.

Managing supplier relationships to drive overall best value for Drax.

Ensure early procurement engagement with the businesses, through the Source to Contract process (from need identification through contract implementation).

Achieving cost savings and additional business benefits to support Procurements important role in value delivery.

About you

You'll possess the following skills, abilities, andexperience :

Procurement or Project Management qualification preferred, and a postgraduate qualification preferred but not essential.

Strong technical procurement skills linked with an ability to drive best practice, alongside excellent negotiation skills and the ability to consider opportunities for innovation.

Comfortability with proactively challenging stakeholders and demand, while providing a prompt, efficient and personalized service to internal customers at all levels.

Ensure that customer needs are met, and productive relationships are built and maintained.

Ensure departmental policies and processes are communicated and followed.

Self-starter with a ‘can do / will do’ attitude who has the energy, drive and commitment to make things happen and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies to form alignment.

The ability to identify key opportunities for Procurement support and prioritize workload effectively is essential.
