Additionally a Spanish Teacher is responsible to work together with classroom Teachers and in conjunction with the entire faculty.
Daily Responsibilities :
- Meeting the individual needs of the children by interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
- Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
- Creating a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning
- Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level
- Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
- Building teamwork
- Committing to continuing education.
- Ensuring compliance with Goddard’s Quality Assurance Standards
This may be a Part Time Spanish Teacher Only position, or a Full Time Spanish and Early Childhood teacher .
General Qualifications
A Spanish Teacher must meet the qualifications of his / her state and those set forth in the National Standards for hiring (see www.bls.gov), including the following :
Educational Qualifications
All candidates, who wish to be considered for the position of Spanish Teacher must meet one or more of the following criteria, in addition to any / all requirements that may be mandated by their state and / or local licensing authorities :
A current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential.
Establish positive and effective family relations
Ensure an effective program, responsive to children’s needs
Maintain professional commitment
