Position Overview

As a Portfolio Management Director within PNC’s Site Reliability Center (SRC), you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL, Phoenix, AZ or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion. On call rotation and some travel required.
The Site Reliability Center (SRC) was established to bring strong alignment between development and operations to drive continual improvement in our operating environment. The SRC enables a 24x7 support model that integrates all infrastructure and application teams with primary focus on the Virtualization, NAS and Backup Infrastructure to :
- Identify and permanently resolve events through Event Management
- Identify and implement automation
- Improve stability post-release
- Drive efficiencies and performance
- Enable change and release management
- Facilitate capacity management
- Engineer reliability into the environment

Job Description
Oversees portfolio managers and their assigned teams. Responsible for the success of the team in meeting objectives and timeframes. No requirement for portfolio size. Facilitates the development and approval process for strategic initiative governance for assigned portfolios. Oversees the development and review of analysis and reporting information related to key strategic portfolio milestones. Oversight and accountability for the overall portfolio budget while working to ensure success of the portfolio. Leads and develops portfolio managers. Works across multi-disciplinary functions and builds and oversees vendor relationships to ensure success of the portfolio.

Qualifications
Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role. Listed below are skills, competencies, work experience, education, and required certifications / licensures needed to be successful in this position.

Work Experience : Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
