Requirements:
  • Proficient in SQL for querying databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Familiar with data visualization tools including Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and tools like Talend or scripting languages such as Python or R.
  • Understanding of database design principles and best practices.
  • Awareness of SDLC methodologies and Agile project management frameworks.
  • Strong analytical abilities to accurately interpret complex datasets.
  • Capable of conducting business analysis to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience with linked data concepts and handling large datasets from multiple sources is desirable.
  • Familiar with VBA macros, Bash scripting, or other automation techniques is beneficial.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teammates to gather and clarify business requirements for data analysis initiatives.
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of databases, including management tasks using Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Develop and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes utilizing tools like Talend or Python for data preparation.
  • Create interactive dashboards and reports with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar visualization tools to effectively communicate findings.
  • Support the development of data models and visualizations that aid in business analysis and decision-making processes.
  • Engage in Agile project management practices, which include sprint planning and stand-up meetings to ensure timely task completion.
  • Contribute to the documentation of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes and project workflows using tools such as Visio.
  • Assist in analyzing linked data sources and performing business analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the team in database design tasks and optimize SQL queries to enhance performance.
  • Gain exposure to scripting languages such as R, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and Python for automating data workflows.
