Benefits :Position Overview : The Support Manager role is an essential leadership position within Prestige Estate Services, expanding upon the responsibilities of the Senior Sales Associate. In this role, you will assist the Assistant Manager and Manager in daily operations and team management, helping ensure the smooth execution of estate sales. In addition to standard estate sale preparation duties, the Support Manager earns a 5% commission on net sale proceeds after monthly team expenses, recognizing the significant contributions to the sales team's success.
Experience Required :
- Experience in the resale market and comfort with pricing used items in a competitive marketplace.
- At least 3+ years of customer service experience, with management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Typical working days are Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am 4 pm, with extended hours on sale days.
- Flexibility is required, as hours and job site locations vary week-to-week depending on client needs and estate sale schedules.
- Leadership and Team Support : Serve as a key support for the Assistant Manager and Manager, ensuring that team members are well-guided and the sales process runs smoothly.
- Lead by example, offering direction and motivation to ensure optimal team performance and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve team issues and maintain effective communication between team members and management.
- Sales and Commission : Earn a 5% commission on net sale proceeds after monthly team expenses, in addition to the base hourly compensation.
- Assist in developing strategies to maximize sales and manage expenses effectively, contributing to overall profitability.
- Team Oversight : Supervise Senior Sales Associates and other team members to ensure their responsibilities are met efficiently.
- Offer input on performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve team productivity.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Manager and Manager to ensure all sale-related activities are completed according to company standards and timelines.
- Operational Duties : Assist in managing logistics such as delivering tables, organizing prep boxes, and other resources necessary for each estate sale.
- Oversee the setup and accurate preparation of estate sale events, including assigning tasks, staging, and pricing items for sale.
- Ensuring sales are prepped appropriately with indoor signage and organized items in a manner conducive to the Prestige Estate Services expectations of pricing and display.
- Step in for the Assistant Manager or Manager when needed to handle daily operations or resolve any customer concerns.
- Assist in all phases of sale preparation, including pricing and researching items.
- Maintain communication with clients and provide timely updates on sale progress and expectations.
- Manage the setup and breakdown of sales, ensuring the proper transport of essential items like tables, cash registers, and prep materials.
- Supervise team members during sale operations to guarantee a smooth and profitable sale experience.
- Ensure proper security and management of high-value items such as jewelry and precious metals.
- Balance cash registers and report accurate financials at the close of each sale day.
- Must be able to perform moderate lifting, bending, twisting, and crouching as needed for the role.
- Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. and working in various environmental conditions, including hot and cold weather.
- Base pay of $17 per hour with additional sale bonuses.
- A 5% commission on net sale proceeds after monthly team expenses.
