The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Pediatric Surgeon, Assistant/Associate/Professor, Department of Surgery, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine [R0126868].
We have a well-established program that is planning to expand to meet the ongoing needs of our community. With over 20 years of service in the Las Vegas Valley, our practice boasts a robust local referral network and covers a large catchment area. Our team includes two experienced surgeons and an advanced nurse practitioner. This position involves performing a wide range of pediatric surgical cases, including a significant number of neonatal and oncology surgeries.
The SOM Faculty Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure (FAPT) Committee will use the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV (SOM) promotion criteria to recommend rank to the Dean of the SOM. Tenure consideration may be given upon hire on a case by case basis depending on verified previous credentials, the FAPT recommendation, and SOM Dean's recommendation.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate is expected to have graduated from an accredited medical school and completed an ACGME-accredited residency program.
Candidates must be board-certified in Surgery and have completed a fellowship in Pediatric Surgery prior to the commencement of employment. Candidates must be eligible for a Nevada medical license, malpractice coverage, and meet credentialing requirements, and must be able to obtain admitting privileges at the applicable hospitals.
Finalists must possess and maintain a State Board of Pharmacy license and a DEA license, and they may be subject to a background check. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.
