The Air ForceCivilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time NC3 SystemsManager, GS-0391-12 located at the Enterprise Mission AssuranceBranch, Barksdale AFB, LA.

This is aTerm position Not to Exceed 31 October 2026 ; theindividual selected for this position may be extended withoutfurther competition. Current Federal civilian employees may apply,and if selected, a break in service of at least 3 calendar days maybe required prior to appointment to this position.

In the position, you willserve as a major command level telecommunications requirements,implementation manager, nuclear command, control, andcommunications (NC3) systems specialist, and monitor oftelecommunications programs and / or systems of the Air Force NC3Weapon System and associated NC3 systems assigned across the AirForce to provide the President of the United States, Secretary ofDefense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and otherNational leaders the worldwide system of systems needed to commandand control the Nation's nuclear arsenal throughout the spectrum ofconflict.

US citizenship is required

Must be able to obtain / maintain a TopSecret / SCI Clearance

This is adesignated drug testing position

Aminimum of 3 years' experience with COMSEC and cryptologic systemsis required.

A bachelor's degree ishighly desired but equivalent years of experience may be deemedacceptable.

Knowledge of NC3 Systemsand associated programmatic activities at the AFGSC level as wellas familiarity at the DoD and Air Force level.

Knowledge of a wide range oftelecommunications theories, concepts, principles, practices,procedures, policies, standards, operational requirements; and ofoperational and performance characteristics of telecommunicationsequipment, systems, services, and transmission media to evaluatedevices, proposals, and approaches.

Knowledge of basic electronics theory and operating principles, andthe application of existing and planned technology forcommunications requirements, equipment interoperability, andcompatibility.
